The Story of Hou Yi Shooting the Sun is a traditional Chinese myth. It is said that a long time ago, there were ten suns in the sky, each of which rose and set every day, bringing light and warmth to people. However, one day, all ten suns rose at the same time, and the heat they emitted was unbearable. So, people turned to the brave archer Hou Yi for help, hoping he could solve the problem.

Hou Yi accepted their request and took up his divine bow and arrows. He aimed at one of the suns, pulled the bowstring, and shot an arrow that hit the sun accurately. The sun immediately turned into a ball of fire and rose into the sky. Hou Yi continued shooting down the second, third, and all the way to the last sun.

People were amazed by Hou Yi's archery skills and offered him their respect. However, not everyone respected him, as some envied his power and status and plotted to take his divine bow. Hou Yi noticed their conspiracy and decided to entrust the bow to his wife, Chang'e.

Soon after, a group of strangers broke into Hou Yi's house, intending to steal the divine bow. Chang'e couldn't bear to see the bow fall into the hands of bad people, so she took up the bow and flew to the moon, successfully escaping the pursuers. Hou Yi went to the moon to find his wife and spent the rest of his life there.
